FAW FAIR PLAY CAMPAIGN

This week the FAW, in partnership with Nationwide Building Society, will be promoting the FAW Fair Play Campaign.

During this week’s fixtures, the National League teams and match officials will be wearing patches displaying the FAW Fair Play logos and displaying the Chwarae Teg CBDC pennant to promote the Fair Play message.

The FAW Fair Play Code aims to raise the profile of the Fair Play message by inspiring players, clubs, officials and supporters to maintain good discipline on and off the pitch, abiding by the Laws of the Game, respecting opponents, match officials and promoting the interests of football.

To encourage good behaviour, the FAW will publish on a monthly basis Disciplinary Tables for each of the National Leagues on the FAW website. Those clubs who top each table at the end of the season will receive a Fair Play Award and a prize of £1000 to be spent on investment in the club. Previous winners have used this toward an upgrade to dressing rooms, new equipment such as balls, bibs, kit and on pitch improvement.

The FAW are grateful to Nationwide for their continued and invaluable support for the Fair Play initiative.
